Not too long ago we made a promise,
A promise for nothing to change
And to make it seem like time just froze.
To never give up on each other or what we had.
Just keep moving forward through the tougher times.
Perseverance.
Like a racehorse at the end of it's breath
Still pushing till the end.
 
We knew it would be a challenge,
But we both never guessed it'd be this hard.
Time has gone by and things have changed.
We couldn't freeze time,
But that's how life is.
