charcoal tears slide down her face
frustration cloud his searching eyes,
 the hand that once held hers
empty now, as it slices through the wall.
indecisive, blinded by his light.
she was his star, he, her knight.
the meaning of forever lost and newly defined.
he wasn't what she had in mind.
A love untrue,
always ends in the air
& out of the blue.
