just tell him the truth, say your nice and im glad we are friends but i feel like we barely know eacchother. you just have to do it gently because if you do keep talking to him,and you turn out liking him, you want to have another chancee.

if you have a gutt feeling that something is off between you two, then you should either talk to him about it or tell him you dont know him enough to go out yet. You can still talk and get to know eachother but at the same time you dont have to worry about if something is wrong between you two. good luck!
