winters freeze all over
summer heat waves drag out the afternoons
and even though each of the days seems to go by so slowly,
the whole year never seems to be long enough
with every lengthy day of loneliness
there is still not enough time to fix it
and while everything familiar begins to change
it actually just stays the same
