if you dont like him, dont lie to him by saying yes. dont feel guilty if you say so. just tell him your better off as friends. and another thing. like, lovehislies said, even if you did date him, you shouldnt care what other people thing. do what makes you happy.

i've been through this same exact situation. just tell him you want to stay friends because you think it would be awkward if you were more than that, also tell him that you don't want to risk losing him as a friend, because thats EXACTLY what happened to me, and our friendship was never the same again.

dont go out with him if you dont like him. and if you do, it shouldnt matter what other people tell you. dont let him guilt you into going out with him if you dont want to. follow what your heart says.
