The distraction I use is a radio with a timer button that makes it play for 10 minutes and shut off. It doesn't create light like the TV would, and it doesn't require my interaction like the internet would. It provides a temporary distraction in the dark, and it takes care of itself if I'm able to fall asleep. If I'm still awake, I just roll over and push the button again.

Tell her to think about anything and everything that has made her happy and what she has been holding onto to keep her going, Tell her to focus on the things that make her happy and just talk to her about the things she likes or enjoys, crappy advice but i'm no professional and suck at advice.
