as autumn brought its leaves of gold,
the story of us had begun to unfold.
as winter brought its cold and snow,
he decided that he had to go.
as springtime brought its colorful flowers,
he came back and we would talk for hours.
as summer brought its heat and sun,
he again decided it was time to run.
as i look back i have to say
