know
I didn't know I was gonna meet a boy ,
who made the wind in my hair feel like nothing compared to his
breath on my neck.
I didn't know I was gonna meet a boy who could convince me to
stop making dirt pies,
so I could hold his hands instead, but his hands were much more
filthy
because I had bled all over them and everything else.
I didn't know I was gonna meet a boy whos chest was more
comfortable than my own bed,
I haven't slept at home in days. His chest and body
were fine and still,
but my heart was banging against mine and my legs were constantly
shaking.
I didn't know I was gonna meet a boy who could hurt me
without laying a finger on me, I don't wanna cry.
I didn't know I was gonna meet a boy who gave me more bruises
by kissing me,
than I got by falling off a swing. He would push me on the swings
and we'd laugh together.
But after a couple months, his kisses? I stopped getting
those.
