Does anyone else feel like all of yours friends have suddenly left? No reason, no explanation. It's like one day they wake up and decide 'oh, I don't think I want to be friends with them anymore' and then bam. End of friendship. And you have no idea it is even happening. So you hang onto the friendship, you do everything and anything to keep it alive. You go out of your way for that person, even though that person could care less about you now. The memories don't seem to matter any longer. It's as if nothing had ever happened. Like your friendship never existed. It hurts you more than anything. Being shoot probably would hurt less, because with that, you can sew yourself up. Losing a best friend never heals, and you can never fix the piece of your heart that has been broken.
