Pain
Pain is such a simple word, yet holds so much inside;
I have come to experience that pain is the strongest emotion you
could have ever suffered
Unlike every other emotion, pain is just one and there is no
bright side to pain,
there is no happy side to it, just the feeling of being feckless
and doleful,
Lately I have been very acquainted with pain,
the ache has been insufferable;
Sometimes when I am alone, which is rather normal these days;
I like to pick out what I have done wrong,
I like to discover which pain is the worst,
the answer isn't at straight forward as I thought,
Instead I,
realise it, let it get to me, carass my mind, invade my thoughts
and always remain there, as a compulsory thought,
just a little reminder knowing that I have messed up,
the worst pain is the one where you been hurt
repeatedly,
by the same person over and over
again,
yet here you are, here I am, allowing that one person to continue
the pain.
Only in those rare moments when she comes back replying to me,
saying the words and as I quote,
" I'm sorry " and " I promise I won't
leave you again "
Just as I get used to those words,
I then feel it once again
(( nothing but broken promises ))
I'll always be here for you
