Broken
Chapter 1
I woke up to the sound of my mother’s soothing voice.
“Morning, darling, wake up now, you have school.”
Like it would be any different today. I peeled myself out of my
bed and pulled my uniform on. What’s the point in having
a uniform? I mean, no one would notice if I went missing
anyways. “Got everything?” My mother asked and I
replied with a dull “Yeah,” and staggered down the
stairs.
Great, another day of Kimberly and her gang. Kimberly was this
girl, wait, correction; she was more of a… monster. She
had what she liked to call her “Group” or
“aunterage” but personally it’s just a bunch
of rejects hanging around behind her because she’s
pretty. She approached me with some sort of strut.
“Oh hi, Seri, looks like you have to face another day of
your favourite place in the whole world.” I don’t
know why she doesn’t like me, it’s not like I did
anything against her. I ignored her and quickly avoided her by
speed-walking to the study hall.
Her and her gang managed to catch up maybe 20 minutes later and
I was stuck with them, making nasty faces and laughing and
slapping me and teasing me. It’s actually horrible what
the do to me, and all the boys just use me.
If you’re wondering what I mean by that, I’d be
walking casually to my locker, and one of the most handsome
boys would walk up to me and say “Oh hey, beautiful.
I’m not another one of those guys, but, If I have to be
honest, you are such a pretty thing, I really like you,”
and they’d go in for the kiss and then quickly pull away,
laugh, and leave. High school life is unbelievably horrible,
for me.
The only person who stuck with me through thick and thin is
probably Stacy. Oh, Stacy, all the boys wanted her, her
beautiful, long black hair and those long legs of hers. She was
so dainty and pretty, and I longed to look like her. I guess
you can’t always get what you want.
As for me? Well, I’m pretty weird looking. I have long,
green hair, dyed obviously and I’m quite short, to be
brutally honest. I have stupid blue eyes, not those
“beautiful blue eyes” type those “ice cold
creepy stalker-like eyes”. I might as well not even
try.
Continuing on with Stacy, she’s actually one of the most
loveliest girls I’ve ever met. She’s always texting
and emailing me, and she always cheers me up when I’m
down. But if there’s ever a day when she goes, I’m
stuck on my own, with Kimberly and the gang. And of course,
today was one of those days.
The kept taunting me for the rest of the day, and eventually, I
gave up. I looked Kimberly right in the eye, and do you know
what I said? I said to her in a clear, dull accent,
“Tonight, I write my suicide note.” That quietened
her.
