He took a second glance.
Maybe he'll give me a chance
she thought as her heart raced,
her stomach fluttered , her mind paced.
Then she remembered though,
he would never want someone like me , no.
But he felt the same about her
and was never really sure
if she would go for a guy like him
so he never went out on a limb,
to ask her to be his girlfriend
leaving two hearts with wounds to mend.
