Hannah and I cuddled on the couch while Nate finished dinner.
The Lion King was on.
Half way through the movie she looked at me, and asked "What
did she say that made you sad?"
I tucked a hair behind her ear, "Well, when I was smaller
than you my mommy moved away. I never ever saw her, so Mrs. Bell
treated me like I was her daughter. But the truth was, she is my
mom."
She looked at me again, "Then why are you sad? Now you have
your mommy."
"It's a lot more than having her now." I explained.
"She wasn't there when I really needed her. Like, when
my dad was a bad man, and hurt me."
"You're daddy hurt you? How bad?" she asked.
"Well, he used to hit me, really hard. He'd make
fists," I said, and folded her hand into a fist to show her
what I ment, "And then he would hit me hard with them.
He's not a good man. But you're daddy is."
I smiled at her.
"I'm sorry." she said, hugging me.
"Well, now I'm here. With you guys, and I love it."
I said, kissing her head.
Nate walked out carrying our plates, and some sodas.
He set them down and then he threw my legs over his, and
held my hand.
All of a sudden the door swung open.
Hannah's mom was staring at us laying on the couch as a
family.
"What is this?" she asked, shocked.
Nate stood up quickly, "Laura, what are you doing
here?"
"What is she doing here?" she said, referring to me.
"And who is she? How old is she?"
She just kept asking questions.
"This is Jadyn. She's one of my student's and my
girlfriend. Now, Laura. Why are you here?" he asked,
sternly.
I know its short but i have to do something.
