A band doesnt define you, just like your haters dont define everyone who doesnt like one direction. See, i like their songs, yet im not obssessed, i dont buy magazines about them, but i'm obssessed with their songs... Nothing wrong with that. Everyone has someone else that keeps them going. For some people it's 1D, for others, it's different music.

I absolutely love One Direction and I get judged all the time for it, like when this one guy in my class found out I liked them he told me to go die. So yeah I get what its like being judged for liking them - but hey, the boys make it all better, that's how I viewed it anyway (:

Thats why I love them. They care about everyone, and they don't hide anything. People are ALWAYS judging me for liking them. I once got told I was a waste of space (actually it had different words but I'm not going to post them here) and immature little kid, to go die, and a lot of stuff. Haters just don't know :/

The people who hate on fans for liking them don't realise it pushes us closer to the boys. Like every time someone judges me for it and makes a comment, I just think about the boys being complete idiots and it stops everything from getting to me and just makes me smile. Don't let peoples judgement get to you, what the boys have to say is so much better

"You don't even know." lol please. I have been there. i used to like one direction. There are obviously haters, but so many people like 1D anyway. you have so many people to back you up. they have more people who like them than hate them. if a teenager says "I like 1D" no one is gonna be like oh my god that's so weird and different bc so many people like them. They are everywhere. There's gonna be boys who are like what the f** but that's really not a big deal. When someone says "oh I like Pierce the Veil or Black Veil Brides" people are like that's emo music or for really weird people. Its so much harder to tell people that you like those bands instead of little one direction...
