Headlights shown on Me, about 5 minutes later, so I got up
figuring it was Nate.
But when I looked it was Justin and Riley.
I turned back around sitting on the bench.
I pulled my legs back hard against my chest, again.
I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of me broken down, and a
mess.
Only Justin got out.
I felt his presence next to me.
"Are you okay, Jadyn?" he asked, rubbing my back.
I left my head sitting on my knees, and didn't respond to
him.
He grabbed my head in his hands, gently.
He took one hand wiping away the tears on my cheeks, causing more
to spill over.
He looked deep into my eyes, like he always did.
It was all to familiar, but so terribly different then the last
time.
It was wrong, because now I knew he always did that in a
boyfriend kinda way, not just a friend way.
He cupped my face in his hands, and leaned closer.
"Jadyn?" I heard, Nate question.
I pulled back, quickly.
"Mr. Matthews?" Justin questioned, "Why are you here?"
"I was taking a late night drive and saw Jadyn run here, so I
followed her to make sure she was okay." he stated.
It sounded like the truth, even though it wasn't.
"Jadyn, do you need a ride somewhere?" Nate said, looking at
me.
Before I could answer, Justin said "Nah, it's alright. She' s
coming home with me."
I stood up and looked at him sternly, "I never said that."
I turned towards Nate, "Yes, Mr. Matthews. I would appreciate
that very much."
I walked over to his car, and got in the passenger side.
Nate got in across from me and I let the tears roll out
again.
Justin just stood there in shock, while we pulled out, and took
off.
Nate held my hand, and kissed it.
"You alright baby?" he asked.
All I could quiver out was "He' s back."
