No Happy Ending

||CHAPTER FOUR||

Diana’s POV:

He was a strange boy. But a damn good-looking one. I headed down the deserted hallway. Only the people that are physically dangerous to others end up here, locked away so that no harm can be done to others. Jaden, he did seem quite dangerous. I opened the mistresses’ door. I coughed for her attention. She spun in her chair; there was a cigarette in between her right fingers. She looked at me.

“Yes?” her voice echoed.

“Ma’am, there’s a new boy here. His name is Jaden.” I said, softly. She raised an eyebrow at me.

“So?”

I swallowed, “Well, he’s different from all the others that come here.”

“Ah.” She threw her cigarette out of the window, “What did you say his name was?”

“Jaden,” I croaked.

She smiled at me, “Send him in.”  

I nodded and dashed down the hallway again.

“Barry, Garry, go and get the new boy out. The Mistress wants to see him.”

“Yes, Miss.” The two big boned, spotty boys carried chains down into the cell. I waited outside. I heard shouting. Jaden really didn’t like these two. I smiled. The mistress would definitely like this one. Jaden came out with chains on his hands and feet. He looked at me and then looked away. He couldn’t walk fast enough and so the boys lifted him off his feet. He swore at them to let him down. He was angry of course. I lead them to the mistresses’ door. The boys threw Jaden onto the ground. He growled at them and spat at them when he got to his feet again.

“Thank you boys, you’re needed no more.” They bowed and skipped back. Jaden huffed and rolled his eyes.
