I'm not the prettiest, sweetest, or smartest girl, so
it blew my mind to think I was going out on a date. Why me?
Why not Rachel, she's absolutely gorgeous.
I looked in the mirror, I was wearing a coral colored, wavy
tank top and indigo flare jeans. My shoes, were simple
black sandals. My hair was straightened, pink lipstick and
light black eyeshadow with black mascara and eyeliner on
the top of my eye.
I was worried about my cuts showing, so I took foundation
and covered them up. Explaining my cuts is not how I would
imagine my first date going.
I grabbed my purse, closed my door and started down the
stairs. As I approached the bottom of the sweeping
staircase my father jumped in front of me, blocking me from
the door.
"Where are you going?" He barked.
"Out with a friend of mine." I teased.
"Oh, you have friends now?" My father laughed.
"I dont see how someone would want to be friends with
you. Who is the idiot?" That stung. That stung a lot,
I was feeling more confident than ever, and he ruined it in
the blink of an eye without any problem. Just like
that.
"Aleeah." I breathed, fighting tears from
spilling over my eyelids.
He took a step towards me, examining my body. He put his
hands on my waste, moving them up and stopping at my chest
as he began to kiss my neck.
"No." I growled pushing him off of me.
When he looked back up at me as if "No." Wasnt an
option he opened his mouth to speak
"Later. You'll have no choice then. Get out."
He demanded.
I rushed out of my house before he had a chance to change
his mind.

"Hey there beautiful." Kyle called out.
"Thank you." I said sweetly.
"Order whatever you like, no budget." I looked
over the menu, but felt like someone was staring, so I
looked back up to see Kyle staring into me.
"What?" I asked.
"Its hard to take my eyes off of someone as gorgeous
as you." Kyle
hummed, sliding next to me and putting his arm around
me.
I smiled, and my cheeks were getting warm.
Kyle's phone rang, and he walked off anwering it. I
tried to listen, what with me being nosy and all. I could
only catch the last few words.
"I love you too hun, see you later." He said in a
sweet voice before walking back over.
"Sorry." He coughed.
"No, no. It's fine, who was it?" I asked.
"Just my mom. You know, you really are
gorgeous."
I smiled brushing it off.
What I forgot was
that things are easily
hidden.
