Chapter 21
After Louis went home, I had a lot of thinking to do. He said he fell in love with me, but is it possible that he's in love with Taylor too? I went to my bedroom and turned on my radio, drowning out the rest of the world. I couldn't believe my ears when the song 'Torn Between Two Lovers' came on. Honestly? It must be a sign. The next morning, I woke up and got dressed in a white tank top with a black heart on it, black shorts, cute black heels and a set of gold bangels. I checked my phone and saw a few messages from my mom, one from Sara, and one from Louis. I read the message from Louis. It asked me to meet him at Niall's house. I replied and said I would be over in a few, getting into my car and starting to drive. I walked into Niall's house and saw him and Louis eating in the kitchen. "Hi guys." I said, setting my keys on the counter. Louis whistled at me, making me blush. I walked over to him and kissed him, but became concerned when he pulled away. Niall walked into the other room, giving Louis and I time to talk. "What's wrong?" I asked, and Louis didn't look me in the eyes. "I can't do this anymore." he said, staring at the wall. "Do what?" I asked, even though I knew what he was talking about. "Us." he replied, finally meeting my gaze. I wish he didn't though, because he definitely saw the tears in my eyes. "Louis, you can't tell a girl you're in love with her one day and break her heart the next!" I screamed, tears streaming down my face. "Aubrey, you know I don't want to. It's just-" he didn't have time to finish before I interrupted him. "Save it." I said, storming out of the house. I could barely see the road through my tear-filled eyes, and I probably should not have been driving. But there is no way I was staying in that house with the guy who just broke my heart. As I went through the green light, so did another vehicle. A huge truck which just ran the red light. And ran right into the drivers' side of my car, crushing me on impact.
