Once we walk into the living room, Kylie and Rachel sprint for the phone. They fight over it for a bit than realized that I walked over and grabbed it from them. I sit in a seat by the kitchen counter searching through my bag to find Zayn’s number. When I find it, I close the kitchen door so Kylie and Rachel wouldn’t be annoying. But even with the door closed, I can still hear them freaking out.
 The phone starts to ring and my heart drops when I hear someone say "hello?"
"Hey it’s Kendall."
"Oh my god, hey! Wait hold on a second!" I hear stuff moving in the background and people yelling and screaming. Then I think it's Harry that says "Guys! Zayn’s on the phone with Kendall!" that makes me laugh.
"Sorry about that. I walked away from the boys to be a little more private." there's a bit of silence but I think he's smiling. "So um Kendall! I've been waiting all day for you to call me. What took you so long? I was starting to get worried that you wouldn't call! I mean I would've called you but I didn't have your number." Oh my god, he's so cute.
"I've been thinking about what to say to you when I called. My two roommates found the paper with your number on it and they were telling me to call you sooner but me want ready because you’re...famous..." there was more silence.
"I'm just another person whose dreams come true. Don't think of me as being famous. Just think of me as someone like you." he's just as I imagined him to be. Sweet, kind, amazing... I can go on forever! But then he interrupts my thoughts. "I've been waiting to ask you this. Do you want to go out for dinner tonight? Just me and you?" In the background I hear the boys going "oh yeaahhhhh!" and "get it in!" They’ve been listening the whole time! But I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the idea that Zayn Malik wants to go out for dinner with me! "Kendal?"
"Oh my god! I'm sorry!" he laughs. His laugh is so amazing! "And to answer your question, I would love to go to dinner with you tonight!" I smile and walk out into the living room to see Kylie and Rachel have been listening in on our conversation on the other phone the whole time.
"Okay. I'll pick you up at your house tonight at 6.  Okay?"
“That sounds perfect! Where are we going?"
There's a little hesitation but then he says "It's a surprise. I'll see you soon, beautiful." and hangs up the phone. I guess Kylie and Rachel saw me walk in the room because they jumped and threw the phone across the room.
"Uh-we weren't listening to anything!" Kylie says. I raise my eyebrows and cross my arms. "Yeah we were listening. We had to!" She confessed.
“I would’ve told you guys exactly what happened! You didn’t have to eavesdrop.” I told them. But if that was one of them talking to a boy on the phone, I would’ve done the same exact thing!
