There is a new girl in my class and she was diagnosed with severe depression at the age of 10. She tried to commit suicide for the first time at the age of 11.
She had been bullied her whole life. Ever since she can remember.

I think when people say 12 year olds can't be depressed they mean 12 year olds shouldn't be depressed. Like they shouldn't have a reason to be depressed. In their minds they imagine 12 year olds being happy and care free. So they don't mean that it's the 12 year olds fAult for being depressed, they're just upset that they have reason to be so sad

ok like people use 12 as like an insult but i remember at 12 being able to function and have feelings lol. and medically speaking, you can get depression at any age!
