POV
It was 11 p.m. on Thursday night, just about time for
sleep! I decided to check Facebook once more. That's
odd, Ryan commented on my wall post from earlier. Ryan
didn't usually talk to me. I sat next to him in
homeroom and science but I could tell he didn't like
me.
"B/tch, no one cares.
Please just go kill yourself." It had five likes from
his obnoxious friends, Joseph, James, Bobby, Patrick, and
Thomas.How could people be so rude?! I started to cry
silently. People thought I was an easy target. Last year,
in seventh grade, I got diagnosed with severe depression. I
haven't told any one except for one of my best friends
out of school, Veronica. She was also my neighbor. We
shared everything with each other, which was good. No one
would have guessed I had depression. I always just faked a
smile so people wouldn't ask questions. I logged off
facebook. Another night of crying myself to
sleep.
I woke up the next morning. Friday at last! It couldn't
have come any sooner! The school day quickly passed and was
soon over. I had no plans. Jacob and Jen asked me if I
wanted to hang out with them, but if Chris wasn't
going, neither was I. Maybe Veronica would want to hang
out. She was a year older than me, in ninth grade. I always
looked up to her, she as always the closest thing I had to
a sister.
I got home and changed out of my school uniform and into my
black baggie shirt with a gold, glittery cross on the
front, and my sparkly black leggings. I threw on my black
UGG sneakers. Veronica called me back and she wanted to go
to the mall so my brother, Josh, who was 17 drove us
there.
"You look gorgeous, girl!" Veronica complimented
me.
She was so beautiful, I was always jealous. She had
perfectly wavy, dark brown hair with deep brown eyes that
always caught my attention. She always knew how to make me
smile.
"Thanks! So do you!" I said back to
her.
