I woke up that morning to the sun shining. I walked downstairs and towards the kitchen. I started going through the cupboards to find something to eat when the lady I saw yesterday came in.
"Oh don't worry about that dear! The cook will make you whatever you want at once." She told me. and twenty minutes later I was eating some amazing chocolate chip pancakes that the cook I saw yesterday had made. I finished and my plate was taken away and washed by some other cleaning lady. I was weird not to have to do anything because back home I had chores everyday. I got dressed to lay out by the pool.I layed down on a lounge chair. It was so quiet because I had forgot to bring my ipod out with me but I was much to warm and comfortable to move. Then music started playing. I opened my eyes and sat up to see a boy about my age turning on a radio at the pool house. He had his back turnde to me and took off his shirt. With out noticing me he jumped into the pool and started swimming laps. I layed back down but watched him. He was so muscular! He got out on the other side of the pool, walked over and grabbed a towel. He turned and say me for the first time. He froze and stared at me.
"Hi."  I called out but he didn't answer me. Just turned around and looked away. He turned off the music and started wakling away.
"Wait, could you keep that on please?" I called after him. He didn't even turn or pause for a second. He just walked through the garden and towards the guest house. Was he staying there? I got up and turned the music back on by myself. That was rude. Who was he? I decided to go inside and ask Aunt Kim. She was in her office and talking on the phone. I decided it could wait. I went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. When I passed the front room on the right from the stairs I heard harsh whispers. I wanted to know what they were talking about so I crept over to listen. It was hard to make out what they were saying but I did hear when they were comming out. I jumped back and pretended to be walking out from the kitchen. I saw the cook, the maid and John come out and go their seperate ways. I caught up to John he seemed the nicest.
"Hi" I said sweetly.
"Hello. How are you Jen?" He asked with a smile.
"Oh fine! I was just wondering if you knew who the boy in the guest house was?" I asked.
John laughed lightly, "So I see you have meet Mr. Collin."
"Well not really... He didn't seem to into meeting me. He just kinda turned and walked away."
"Yess that seems like him. He is here because his mom is a very good friend of your Aunts. She is always busy and Collin was getting into a lot of trouble. Your Aunt said that he could come live with her untill he finished high school." Jon told me.
"He seems like a jerk." I said.
Jon laughed, "Well he can be rude but I believe that he secretly is greatful to your Aunt for letting him live here."
"Really? Why do you say that?" I asked.
"He is always nice to her. And I believe her only did those things to get attention. Well either way, he is staying with us."
"How long is that?"
"Untill the end of school. I believe he is in year 11."
"Great, my grade." I said sarcastically.
Jon laughed then excused himself and I went up to my room. I went out on the balcony and looked over to the guest house. I saw something move in the upper window. A curtain moving back into place it seemed. Was he watching me? I shook my head. and went back inside but took on more look back right before the doors closed. I would swear that curtain moved again.
