Nobody keeps their high
school friends forever. You'll fail a math test once in your
life, your teachers will assign you homework you don't want to
do and your parents will assign you to your room when you do bad
things. You're going to cry over boys who's names won't
matter in twenty years. Your opinions of people will change once
you get to know them. You're going to find one book in English
class that
you'll actually read. You're never going to always finish
all of your homework. You're going to cry and maybe need a hug
once in awhile. You're going to write some crappy essays and
pray that you sound like you know what you're talking about.
You're going to sing songs in your room all by yourself when no
one is home. You're going to dream of finally getting out of
your town and you'll miss it when you leave. You're going
to get whistled at, cheated on, yelled at, ditched, played, and
laughed at. You're going to fall in and out of "love"
and one day actually figure out what that word means. You're a
kid so stop trying so hard, expecting so much, and crying so often.
Enjoy your youth while you have it and keep your head up darling,
because you never know what tomorrow brings.
