i think cheerleading takes a lot of physical activity, i was a cheerleader before. idk if it's a sport or nott thoughh, like if you do all those huge competitions then i'd say it is(: but dance is def not a sport!

Cheerleading's defiantly a sport.
You have to do so much more than any other sport. Try lifting up 90-100 pound girls in the air than throwing them & catching them. We practice just as much as any other sport. Most sports have things to keep you safe.. but cheerleading doesn't. lol. if you guys think cheerleadings not a sport,than go try it out sometime & tell me about how "easy" it was for you.

I think it is a sport, as the defintion of a sport is an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others. You move about, and there can be cheerleading competitions. Hope that helped(':

I am a cheerleader & i definietly think it is, we practice just as much as any other sport, i practice 2 times a week 6 hours a week sometimes more. other sports like football have helmates & pads , we dont have that, we just pray when we get thrown up in the air we get cought. we get a lot more inguries , i havent came home from 1 practice without having any bruises or sore something. we go to competition just like another sport would go to tournements , but thats just my opion so i think cheerleading is a sport. ( :

i dunno...i am not a fan of most cheerleaders, bc most are stuck up and snobby and kinda slutty, tbhh. at least they are at my school. but there are also exceptions. i have nothing against them, i just am not a fan of some of their personalities. im not gonna judge if youre a cheerleader, im js.

i think if you compete in big competitions against other teams and stuff it def is, but otherwise i think just cheering for a football team or something isn't really a sport, anyone could do it..
