He doesn't need stop being gay, and if you were were his "true friend," you wouldn't wait until he broke and started cutting to stick up or be nice to him. You and all the people who bullied him are horrible for putting him through that.

I'm with ifrolictheoasis. He can't change who he is and u shouldn't be telling him that there's a single thing about him that should be changed. Being gay is NOT something that he should be ashamed of. If forcing this boy to change any part of who he is "true friendship" I don't know what friendship is then. Sorry.
