"So you like rap
music?" I tried making conversation with Tristen, since
I hate silent rides.
"Yup," he just responded, not even paying
attention..
"Coool. You have a pretty nice car...." I tried
again.
"Thanks."
I rolled my eyes,"You suck at making
conversations!"
"No I don't I just don't want to talk to you,
you're annoying, I told you."
"I am not annoying! You're just a jerk
Tristen!" I blurted.
He raised an eyebrow, " No, it's just fun to see you
mad."
"You've only talked to me like twice, and you say
I'm annoying? It takes more to know to think I'm
annoying!" I defended myself.
"Whatever," he said as we parked to the side of a
big, pretty house-- in my neighborhood.
"Uh, this isn't my house?"
"Nope, it's mine, yours is a couple houses down, you
can walk there sweetie," He sounded like a total jerk. I
heard the sound of a horn blow, then looked behind
Tristen's car. It was a yellow slugbug, which I'm
sure it ment a girl was driving it.
"Slugbug!" Tristen punched my arm.
"Ow! That hurt," I said getting out of the car
along with Tristen.
"Baby!! I've missed you so much!" The girl
squealed and rand to Tristen pecking him on the lips.
"Thanks for the ride Tristen," I didn't want to
interrupt their make out session so I decided to head
home.
"Whose that?" I heard the girl ask.
"Nobody, she's just some random, annoying girl who
asked for a ride," Tristen explained to her.
I was nobody? Great, and I thought Tristen could've
remembered my name.
It's my fault though, I got my hopes up too high.
Tristen's the most popular guy in school, he'll never
see anything in me.
I discovered it was only a two minute walk from my house to
Tristen's, he only lived around the street.
"Mom?" I called out as I stepped inside the
house.
"Oh hunny! How was your first day??" My mom began
walking downstairs.
"It was fine, until after school when you forgot to pick
me up!" I crossed my arms, mad at my mom.
Her face turned so red, was she hiding something??
"O-oh, I'm so sorry Leah! I was busy unpacking
things, I totally forgot!" She sounded a bit guilty, was
she lying??
"Whatever, Mom," I said as I ran upstairs to my
room.
The only thing that was on my mind was
Tristen
