Summer Nights
Chapter 4
Zaedyns POV

"Hi. I'm Zaedyn." I said while standing up.
I couldn't keep my eyes off of Ryker. He was just so handsome.
"Well hello good lookin'." Kyle said to me.
"Dude. Really?" Ryker said in an annoyed tone. 
"Uh, okay? I guess I'll be leaving?" And with that he walked out the door.
Oh well. Didnt bother me any.
"I'm Ryker. In case you didnt know that already." He said with that contagious smile on his face.
"Nice to meet you, Ryker."
"My pleasure. Hey, how would you feel going out for a bit? Maybe I could show you a few things in town?" 
Woah. Was I dreaming? Or does he really want me to go with him?
"Um.." I turned towards to my nannie.
"Go ahead sweetheart. Do you have your phone with you?"
"Yeah. I'll call you at about six and see whats up?" I managed to say through my smile.
"Alright, have fun. I love you."
"I love you, too Nannie."

We walked out the door.
"Well, do you want to take the car or would you rather walk?" Ryker questioned.
"Lets walk. It seems to be nice out." I couldnt stop smiling. I'm pretty sure my cheeks were as red as a rose.
"So, why dont you tell me a little about yourself." I said to Ryker.
"Well, I'm going to be 18 in a few months. My favorite color is orange. I play football. I'm actually one of the captains. My birthday is September 29th. Uh, I seem like I have a lot of friends, but to be completely honest.. I dont know how many people like me for me, or if its for my popularity around school. I really want to go to school to be cop. I used to want to join the army. But that all changed. I live with my mom and dad and I'm an only child. Ha. How about you?"
Wow. His life story beats mine.
"Well I'm sixteen. My birthday is May 26th. My favorite colors are purple and green. I just moved here from Vermont with my dad and little sister. I dont really have a lot of friends. And the little that I did have dont even know where I am, because my dad never let me say goodbye before we left. I play softball. When I graduate I really wanna move to New York City to become a model." 
Hm. That sounded alright. I think.
"Wow. Why did you wanna come here? I mean I've heard that Vermont is a really pretty place."
We were just getting to a playground. We walked over and sat on the swings. So I started to explain why I live here now.
"Well, two months ago, my baby sister Laine was born. But on that same day that was supposed to be wonderful, turned out to be one of the worst days of my life.." 
I had to stop so I could sniffle. Then I continued..
"I lost my mom that day after she had given birth to Laine. Which of course, wasnt easy. My mom was my bestfriend.."
Now the tears were really coming. What had I done.. He probably thinks I'm some sort of freak telling him about my life story. 
"Zaedyn. Look at me."
I wiped away some of the tears from my eyes and looked at him.
"You're one of the most beautiful girls I've ever laid eyes on. You're to pretty to be this upset."
He was standing in front of me now. His hands were on my hands which were on the chains holding up my swing.
"Thank you, Ryker. I really needed to hear that."
I started wiping away more of the tears. 
He pulled my hands from my face helped me stand up. Then he pulled me in for a hug.
It wasnt one of those 'lets be friends' kind of hug. It was a big bear hug and he squeezed me tight. 
He whispered in my ear..
"You're to beautiful to cry."
