If You Love Me Let Me Know ♥
Chapter 1; Noah.
It's the second half of the fourth
quarter with 30 seconds left in the game. All the pressure is on
me. As the quarterback, it's my responsibility to make the
one touchdown we need to win the championship game. The whole
crowd is going crazy and I can'tconcentrate. I make the call
and the ball is now in my hands. I throw the ball as hard as I
can and close my eyes. Before I could open them again someone
body slammed me and knocked me to the ground. That's the last
thing I remember before waking up to her beautiful face in a
hospital room.

I slowly opened my eyes and
realized I was in excruciating pan. I looked over to where I
thought my mother would be sitting and I saw her. I was caught a
little off guard, and had to look twice to make sure it was her.
I didn't understand. We've barely ever talked. When I
could finally find words to say I asked her,"Addison? What
are you doing here?"
"Noah! Oh my God! I'm so glad you're okay! That was
so scary! That guy was huge and just knocked you to the ground
like a bowlung pin, I thought you were dead! Oh my gosh I'm
just really glad you finally woke up and-"
"Haha Addison, calm down. I'm not dead..at least not
yet. I'm in a lot of pain. Can you call the doctor in
here?"
"Of course!"
While she went to get the doctor I laid in my bed trying to
figure out why the hell she was the only one sitting in the
hospital room with me. I mean, where are my parents and sister?
Where's coach? I've talked to her once and she's the
only one who came to see me? It doesn't add up. The doctor
knocked on the door, "Hey, bug guy, you finally woke up!
I'm Dr. Marshall. Now what's bothering you?"
"Well, my head hurts wiked bad. It feels like my brain is
going to explode. My ribs on the left are killing me, and I
can't lay on my right side because my shoulder kills.
Isn't there something you can do to get the pain to go away,
Doc?"
"Well, we did an X-Ray, and you do have a broken shoulder
and three cracked ribs. The nurse will be in later on to put a
cast on your arm and give you some medicine. You're scheduled
to go into a CAT-scan in about 10 minutes to see about you head.
I'll be back in a few, hang in there, kid."
Damn, this pain is so bad I just want to cry, but guys don't
cry do they? Just then she came back into the room with about 5
different drinks. "Noah, do you want something to
drink?"
"No thanks, I'm good for now."
"Okay, I'm sure the doctor will be in soon for your
CAT-scan, but I'm going to get food, if I'm not back
before they come get you, good luck! I hope it's nothing
serious."
"Thanks!"
After she left I whispered the same thing to myself over and
over, "I hope it's nothing serious." The doctor
came in five minutes later to bring me to the CAT-scan. The whole
way down I was quietly praying that it was only a concussion.
When the scan was done they brought me back to the room where she
was waiting for me.
"I'll be back in a few with the results."
Okay, only a few minutes. Don't think about it. I'll be
okay.
"Hey, how do you feel?"
"Eh, I still feel like crap. Thanks for asking though, but
can I ask you something?"
"Yeah, go ahead."
"How come you're the only one here? Not to be mean. But
where'smy parents and my sister and coach? How come none of
them came to visit me?"
"Well they did come. But they left a little while
ago."
"You didn't go with them?"
"I was going to, but I wanted to be here when you woke up.
You see, I like you Noah. I've been sitting on the sidelines
for quite awhile now, and I wanted to join the game."
"Oh, well, Addison I-"
"Hey guys, I have the results. You only have a minor
concussion, which means no heavy physical activity until it
goes away. Same for your shoulder and ribs. I'll write you a
prescription and then you'll be right outta here."
"That's great! Thanks Doc!"
After the doctor left I tried to talk to her again, but she were
crying. "Hey, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, I'm just happy it's only a concussion. I
was so worried it was something else." Then she leaned down
and kissed me. I didn't stop her. She looked up with a
horrible look on her face. "Oh my God. I'm so sorry,
Noah. I don't know what came over me. I'm sorry,
bye."
"No! Addison, wait!" But it was too late. She were
already halfway down the hall. I didn't have time to tell her
how I really felt about her. The truth is, I've been watching
from the sidelines for awhile, too. As soon as I get back to
school I'll tell her. I think I love Addison.
