Chapter 1 Part 1

Luke's POV

"Are you really leaving me?" Jenna asked. Tears were beginning to form in her eyes. "It's not my choice, Jenna. I wish I didn't have to." Jenna WAS NOT my girlfriend. She was just my best friend. I was always better friends with girls than I was with guys. But she was the best thing I ever had. My best friend. I trusted her with everything. Now I was moving to Laguna, California. From Ohio to California. Stupid job. If my dad wasn't such a workaholic, this wouldn't have been a problem. "Luke, don't leave me. You're my best friend. Who am I going to talk to when Jack is giving me troubles?" She whispered teary eyed. I wrapped my arms around her and let her cry into my shoulder. "I wish I could stay. I want to so bad. I even begged my parents. I have to move. I'm so so sorry Jenna." I squeezed her tighter. "Luke! Come on! We're waiting for you!" My older sister, Caly, called from the moving van. "Be sure to text me every day. And go on skype every night." I told her. She reached up and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Just in case." Jenna grinned. I gave her one last hug, then turned and walked towards the van. The engine roared alive, then we were off. "Bye, cincinnati." I whispered under my breath, letting it fog up the window.
