In my french class, my teacher told us that vol meant valley, de, of, mort, death, so "valley of death". but thats okay haha :)

JK Rowling really did look up a ton of latin, french, greek, and mythology... im one of those people who randomly knows a ton about that stuff, and seriously half the book is tied into it... it's so cool when you figure it out
