I am a girl with strong
emotions I wonder why
the people that have hurt me felt the need to do
so I hear the
yelling I see bad
things happening I want a normal
childhood I am a girl
with a lot of fear.
I pretend I am okay with
things I feel like a
bird wanting to get out of a small cage I touch the
heart of others to help them understand my pain I worry that
bad things will happen again I cry when the
yelling starts again I am a girl
that wants to get out.
I understand that she loves
him I say it
isn’t right I dream of
being free I try to hold
my anger back I hope everyday
