Can’t Control Love
Chapter Twenty-Five/Melody’s POV:


I was awake all night, thinking about the most perfect night I’ve just had. “Good morning!” I sang, meeting my parents in the kitchen that morning for breakfast. They were bewildered by my surprisingly pleasantness this early in the morning. “How was the concert?” my mother asked placing a plate filled with eggs, bacon and toast. “Unbelievable!” I answered. I turned on the kitchen tv to E news. I turned the volume up after seeing a picture of Chase. “Chase Willkins finished his first tour last night right here in LA. He said it was a life changing experience that he’ll never forget.” The blonde woman informed us, smiling with her bright white teeth. “Last night was the best performance of the tour. Chase decided to play his rendition of the hit song Miss You. It was an acoustic version that was better than the original and had the crowd screaming for more. He also played a new song that had not been released yet that he wrote on tour for a special girl. It was a love song and before playing it he announced that he meant each bit of the lyrics. After the concert fans kept asking who this special girl could be. Here at E, we put together all the clues and concluded that the special girl is in fact Melody, Chase’s best friend. It was quite clear in the lyrics that it was her plus one of our paparazzi got a picture of them later that night.”  A picture of Chase and I walking, holding hands on the way to his car from the park flashed before the screen. “Sorry ladies, looks like Chase is taken and it looks like this relationship is going to last a long time.” A commercial went on straight after. My parents both stared at me in disbelief. “That’s so great! We love Chase, he’s perfect for you!” my mother said. I rolled my eyes. “Thanks.” My dad shook his head in agreement.

Shortly after the doorbell rang. “That’s him.” I said bashfully. “Well, I have to go run some Christmas errands.” My dad said grabbing his car keys. My mom just stood there washing the dishes. My dad stared at her. “Oh, right me too. You kids have fun.” she said following him out the garage door.

I sprinted over to the front door to let him in. “Hey Chase.” I swooned. “Hey Mel.” he said sounding not as enthusiastic as I was. “What’s wrong?” I asked with concern. “Nothing.” he said quietly. We walked into the living room, he examined the perfectly decorated Christmas tree. “Melody,” he started. I got nervous, he said my name in a very serious name. He wasn’t going to say he didn’t feel what I was feeling and wanted to go back to being friends; right? “I know now you’re my girlfriend, actually you’re more than that you’re more like my soul mate or true love. Anyways, what I’m trying to say is ‘cause we’re dating now I don’t want to loose the friendship we had. I want to be able to come tell you everything and for you to be there for me.” I nodded my head, “I agree completely.” I told him, still a bit nervous. “Mel, last night, when I got home I saw my parents kissing.” he told me, looking at me directly in the eye. “What?!” I asked in disbelief. “They were outside of my mom’s room kissing. I don’t even know how long this has been going on. Maybe the only reason my mom has been back to normal was because he was back. The thing that hurts the most is they hid this from me, they’re seeing each other behind my back.” I gave him a hug to comfort him, “I’m so sorry. You have to talk to your mom.” I assured him. He nodded, “I will.”

After talking about the whole issue with his parents, he helped me wrap Christmas presents. “You suck at this.” I joked taking the scissors away from him. He laughed, “I’ll just hand you tape.” The sound of Christmas music and the smell of hot chocolate wafted from the kitchen. “So the media confirmed us as a couple.” I mentioned while taping the wrapping paper on my mom’s new blender. “Trisha told me. She says it’s good publicity or whatever. More people will follow me if I have a love interest.” We continued to wrap more presents, “Mel, listen there’s this big Hollywood Christmas party this weekend and I was wondering if maybe you’d want to come.” he asked shyly. “I’d love to.” I answered back, smiling. “It’s a date then.” he stated with a cute half-smile.

Kind of boring, sorry! Check back later tonight, I MIGHT write another chapter!

So I was wondering (comment below with your answer); would you rather have this story be 35 chapters long and then have me start a brand new story (which is going to be amazing!
