Chapter 7

Justin:
I waited in my car for Cali. I was starting to get worried after 10 minutes of sitting outside of her house. Eh, she's in her own house with Luke and Zach, she probably just got diStracted. I flipped on the radio and I Wanna Go by Brittney Spears was playing. I remembered Cali and I jamming out out this song in the car one day. I smiled and thought about her. She was perfect, stunning,amazing,beautiful. I really thought maybe I was falling in lo- nahhhh.... Cali is like my sister. I mean, of course you don;t take your sister out on dates, but you know what I mean. I thought about if Cali was actually my little sister and I was attracted to her. That was wrong on about 3 different levels. One of them was called incest. It's not the most out of the ordinary thing to hear either, I mean, all the time you hear people telling people that the person they are attracted to is like their little or older brother or sister. And they didn't take it the wrong way, it just means that you are close and have trust in each other. Celebrities do it all of the time, when they don;t want to admit to dating another celeb even though they are obviously a couple. For example, a 19 year old female actress telling the press that her 17 year old pop-singer boyfriend was "like her little brother" and there was absolutely no attraction. Even though you could almost see the chemistry floating around them in the air. And that brings me to thinking about another thing. Fake relationships. The kind where a popular celebrity dates another, uh, not so popular celebrity, to make him or her relevant. You see those things al of the time. For example, when a young actresses Disney TV show about wizards frolicking through the streets of New York is candled, she needs somebody to promote her tour and movie. So her manager makes a few phone calls, and bam, she is now dating the teen sensation heartthrob of the century, with 12 million little girls wrapped around his finger. That's just an example. The song ended and my train of thought was disrupted by Cali coming out off her house with black streaks running down her face.
"What happened, Cal?"
"I'll tell you later. i look like a train wreck, I'm sorry."
"Why are you apologizing?" I asked and chuckled. I rubbed her shoulder softly, which seemed to calm her down a bit. I reached in the glove compartment and pulled out a pack of sanitizing wet wipes that were supposed to wash your hands clean of bacteria and germs. My mom got them for me to fight infection, but I never used them. I took out a napkin and gently wiped the makeup off of Cali's gorgeous face. The black makeup came off of her eyes easily and so did concealing powder that hid a freckle on Cali's check.
"Hey, I never knew about that freckle!"
"Ugh! I hate it!" She giggled.
"Well i think it's cute." I kissed her check and opened the door for her.
"We are going somewhere you can tell me what happened."
