Cody's P.OV.
Erika walked out of the bathroom, "It's all yours big boy." she said as she patted my back. I laughed, "Okay." I walked in and took a shower. When I got out, I walked in to the hotel room to get clothes out of my suitcase. Erika looked up from her phone to talk to me and her eyes widened. "Thanks for the warning." she joked. I laughed, "Look away! I want to get changed in private." She snickered, "That's what the bathroom is for." I fake frowned and slumped in to the bathroom. I put on this http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=34875678 and walked out of the bathroom. I looked at the time and it was 10:30. Erika was on the phone and she was yelling but trying to do it quietly. "Listen mom, I've gotta go." she said as she threw her phone on the bed. She layed back and sighed, a few tears fell from her eyes. "Cody I don't think I can do this." she said between tears. I quickly walked over to the bed and layed down next to her. "What happened on the phone?" I asked. "My mom wanted to know if I was ready to see him. I-i don't know if I can. She said that I didn't have to stay at the wake because she knew it would be hard for me." She turned over and sobbed in to the pillow. "What do you want to do?" She lifted her head up a little and shook her head, "I want to know but I don't think I can. I might go see him before everyone gets there and then come home. B-but I just feel bad." she cried harder. "Erika if he knew how bad this would hurt you, he wouldn't want you too." I said trying to help. She nodded, "That's true, will you come back to the hotel with me?" I nodded, "Of course." I said kissing the top of her head and holding her. "Want some breakfast?" I asked. She shook her head, "Lets just go to my grandmas." she said as she got up and wiped her eyes. "Okay." I grabbed her hand and grabbed a room key as we walked out the door. We got to her grandmas and we got in to two cars and drove to the funereal home. We got out of the car and went to the funereal home. "Hello." a tall man wearing a suit greeted us. We all shook his hand and he talked about how the reception was going to go. "People will arrive at 3 and everyone will come in here and do there thing." he explained. We all nodded. "You guys can go in right now and say your goodbyes." he said. "Erika you can go in by yourself first." her mom said. "I want Cody to come." she said. Her mom nodded and we went to where the casket was. She slowly walked over and put her fingers on the edge of the casket and looked down into it to see him. "Jared, I am so sorry." she said shaking her head. "I love you so much and you don't deserve this. This is all my fault. I miss you so much and I love you. I know you are in a better place but you were so young and you didn't get to live your life. I will never forget you and don't you ever forget me." she said as she started balling here eyes out. She looked at him once more and then fell to the ground and started crying hysterically. I sat down next to her and held her. I didn't say anything, just held her.
