FOR
THE FIRST
TIME
Epilogue
Cameron's P.O.V.
I
heard the music begin to play. Except this time, it was not
wedding music. It wasn't the happy, joyful,
bounce tune that filled not only the hearts of the bride and
groom, but also the hearts of the crowd, the brides maids, and
the grooms men. No. This music was slow, dreary, sorrowful. It
latched onto me. It felt like I was being pulled down. It added
to the weight of my beautiful wife's death. It all played
through my head, the drunken ex-boyfriend of the brides maid. The
shots. The blood. The screams. It was all to much. I couldn't
hold back the tears. The were flowing down my cold cheeks. I
refused to make sound. I looked around. The church was full.
Close friends. People from high school. Her mother. Her mothers
boyfriend. My parents and sister. People from her college
classes. Teachers. It was packed. People were even standing up in
the back. I was in the front row with her mother, my parents and
sister, Emily, Jamie, Zak, Jake, and Brodie. The
preacher began to speak, but I couldn't
pay attention. I looked around. Almost everybody was sobbing. The
casket was opened. There were flowers piled all around. Everybody
brought flowers that brightened up the room. But even they looked
dull and lifeless. The preacher finally finished speaking and
everybody got up and made a line to say their last good
bye's. As I walked past the casket I looked into Taylors
face. It was Pale and lifeless. It looked thin, somehow, it
actually looked thinner. Her brown hair was dull, and her blue
sparkling eyes were shut forever. Yet, she was still the most
beautiful person in the whole room. She was wearing her favorite
dress. pale pink at the bust, a black sash, and grey at the
bottom. Silky. Elegant. Beautiful. We all filed out the the cars
and drove to the cemetery. The sky was grey. The birds refused to
sing. The grass was dull. It was like the whole world was
mourning for her loss. The lowered the casket into the grave. Her
mother, Jamie, Lily, Emily, Zak, and I all threw a flower in with
it. Her closest friends. They slowly began to fill it with dirt.
She's gone.

Nope, not at all. I really didn't like writing this story. I had to think of a way to end it.
