Justin and Kylie story

The fourth of July was the
sunday after i got back from camp. All my cousins came down to
Stratford and we had a great cookout in the back yard. Lilly, my
aunts youngest daughter, tugged on the end of my sundress.
"Kywie?"
"Whats up, lilly?" I asked, crouching down to her height
and kissing the top of her head. She giggled and then looked at me
with her big brown eyes that matched mine.
"Do you have a boy fwiend?"
"YES SHE DOES!!" Ben, my 11 year old cousin, screamed
from across the lawn. I rolled my eyes at him and smiled back at
Lilly. "Yes, i do. Why?"
"I saww him in mommys magazine."
I chucked. "yeah, hes in a lot of pictures."
Lilly suddenly got distracted by the glow sticks the parents
were handing out. I patted the low, slouchy pocket on my dress to
make sure my phone was still there. Justin had texted me this
morning, just like he always did, but nothing since. A jealous
feeling crept over me as I thought of Carrie and Becca. They had
both snuck away from their families with their boyfriends and were
giving me constant updates. Sam was way down in the states visiting
her family from Maine, so i was all alone and boyfriendless. I had
been invited to some parties, and I still wasn't sure if I was
going to show up or not.
It was around 10 when my mom came up behind me and wrapped her arms
around my shoulders. I leaned my head back into her and she rocked
gently back and fourth. "You've been so good tonight,
Kylie. I'm sure you miss Justin a lot."
I shrugged, but I felt a tug in my heart at his name.
"Go out," She whispered in my ear. "Have some
fun."
I turned and she dropped her arms. I gave her a small smile.
"You sure? Aunt Betty might need help with the
kids.."
My mother waved her hand divisively.
I pecked my on the cheek and then ran inside to get ready. I
smudged on some dark eyeliner for a sultry look and brushed on some
glittery blush. I left my hair the way it was- wavy, long, and a
little bit wild. I pulled the sundress up over my head and instead
pulled on some white jean booty shorts and a flowy red and blue
top. I grabbed a long, silver necklace from my cluttered dresser
and swiped on some cherry lip-gloss. I smiled to myself in the
mirror and sighed. I looked.. pretty. Not anything a guy would call
"hot" or "sexy". just alright. Whatever. I
grabbed some silver flip-flops and rushed out the front door,
quickly saying goodnight to my relatives before hopping in my moms
old Acura and pulling out of the driveway.
I was in need of a lil fun.
less than two weeks left of school and i have SO much homework, so
sorry if i dont get another one on today. im trying my best! keep
reading/commenting/faving :) feels like summer here, just sayin
