by 1993, the number of children who
were being abused emotionally, sexu-
ally, or physically was estimated to
be over 3 million. <-- that's one in every
five american children. these kids have
been unjustly robbed of they're child-
hood, but more importantly, of they're 
innocence. victims who are not rescued
become street-dwellers, gang members,
or otherwise troubled adults. for those of us
who are blessed with loving parents,
