i wear make-up

so i can feel the least bit pretty

i wear nail polish

to make myself think i have no worries

i do my hair

to flip it around like i'm cool

i wear nice clothes

so people are jealous
 

i smile

because no one wants to be friends with a cry baby

i laugh

so people think my life is carefree

i act tough

so people don't mess with me

i cut

because none of these things can get rid of the pain
