They hadn't seen each other in a while,
now they were suddenly face to face,
taking shelter from the rain under a hut.
It was small talk,
she had her guard up,
but he understood why.
The conversation was going no where,
"I'm gonna go," he said,
looking to the floor.
He than picked his head up,
and flashed that smile,
that smile she's still in love with.
"Was good seeing you," he said,
turning around to walk away.
"Why was I so easy to forget?"
she whispered, tears streaming from her eyes.
He turned around slowly and said,
"Is that what you think?
Everyday I wake up regretting that day,
that day I didn't fight to keep you,
that day I watched you walk away.
You're still my first thought waking up,
and my last going to sleep."
Suddenly tears came to his eyes,
"Easy to forget baby?
You're still the love of my life,
and I promise you this,
I'd do anything to have you back."
