whenever he smiles, your heart leaps in your chest. he's so wonderful and sweet. his eyes are gorgeous. he holds you close and assures you everything will be alright, even if it won't. his hair is messed up just right, and you can't help the urge you get to hold his hand and show him off to the world every time you see him. he makes you feel hopeful and reckless and young, like this is how you're supposed to feel forever. sometimes you fight with him, sometimes he hurts your feelings. sometimes he's stubborn and and bitter and in a bad mood. and sometimes all he needs is one smile from you to make him happy again. he'll kiss you in the middle of an argument, and talk to you for hours on end. maybe he's nothing more than a daydream. maybe he's that boy in class who doesn't know you exist. maybe he's older than you and could care less about you. maybe he's always seen you as just a friend. maybe he's a budding crush, or a blooming relationship. maybe he's a future, maybe he's a past. maybe he  secretly loves you too. maybe he's sitting in his room thinking about you right now. maybe you wish he was yours. maybe you don't. maybe you're using him. maybe he's using you. maybe you're so tangled in a web of lies and secrets but every time his smile gets you, and you forget that you were ever mad at him at all. maybe he's a rebound. maybe he's an ex. maybe he's a hookup. maybe he's a one night stand. maybe he's yours. maybe he's a boyfriend. maybe he's a future boyfriend. and maybe, just maybe he's a future husband.
