i have the same problem. i really wanna talk to him, but he doesn't text me unless i text him first. sometimes i text him, but other times i feel like i annoy him when i text him first, so i just wait until he texts me.

you mean BF as in boyfriend right? well i think that rule is stupid. just text him. if you ever wanna talk to someone badlyy then just start it off. cuz maybe that person wants to talk to you too but maybe they think they'd be annoying you or buggin you..
