I couldn’t help but wonder if subconsciously I like Chris.
I never even considered him before. I mean, he was unbelievably
adorable, and sweet, and nice, and pretty funny. I don’t
know why I didn’t consider him before. Now that I
think about it though, I guess I do flirt with him without even
realizing that I do. I was thinking about it for a while, even
while I was a Jeremy’s house.
“So, my friends will be here around 4.” He said when
we pulled into his driveway.
“So, that gives me time to do my homework, right?” I
looked at him, hoping he would take that hint that I didn’t
want to do anything.
“Yeah, sure.” He looked a little upset. I went inside
and to the table, where, I actually did my homework until his
friends showed up.
“Hey guys.” I said when they walked in, because I
already knew all of them, except one.
“Hey, a girl.” The new guy said. “This ought to
be fun.” He looked at me with a coy smile. I was kinda
scared to even think about what he was thinking. He was sorta
creepy.
“Hey man!” Jeremy said to each of his friends
greeting them with the ‘man shake’. I just sat there
uncomfortably.
“This is my girl, Corinne.” He said to the new
guy.
“Hi. Call me Cori.” I smiled reaching my hand out,
which he rudely rejected.
“Ok, then.” I awkwardly put my hand back down by my
side, and looked away. They all went downstairs to the basement
and I followed.
“Hey guys, look what I got.” The one guy said. I
still didn’t know what his name was…
“What?” They all said in unison. He then pulled
out a bag of a green-ish substance and another bag of cigar
pipes without anything in them. Wanna guess what it was? Yeah.
Pot.
