So there was this guy.
He was a daddy to
three kids and had a wife. He had one daughter and two
sons.
He was a drunk and
eventually the one son moved
out.
The
man would beat his
wife up almost every night,
And the little girl
would watch, terrified as she stood there, not able to do
anything but pray.
The son didn't
like the woman which was his step mom,
so he just sat back and laughed.
When
they would go on
vacation, he would get drunk and threatened to jump off a bridge
into the ocean,
And open the car
door going down the highway and say he was going to jump
out.
He would go to bars
and flirt with other woman.
He would be loud, obnoxious and stumble on the boardwalk in front
of all their friends and family.
Humiliated would be
the word.
Most nights the
little girl couldn't sleep.
She was scared at
what might happen next.
If her, or her mommy
would survive that night.
One day the man went
to his sisters house and the daughter went
along.
As they were gone,
the mom thought it was enough and decided to pack
up.
Scared in her home,
she packed.
When he came home he
saw everything was packed away and went
crazy.
He didn't even
have anything to drink.
He threw her on the
ground and started choking her.
As the little girl
did everything she could to get him
off.
He finally
did.
He left with a loaded gun in his
old, beat up chevy and came back with a chainsaw and threatened
to butcher everything in the house;including his
daughter.
She didn't understand what made
him like this. She couldn't see the picture of God's
plan.
The state police finally came,
and promised everything was going to be ok.
Now four years have past. Her
mom re-married to a man that would never touch her, or yell at
her.
The little girl calls him dad,
even though those memories still haunt her.
She is now more successful than
ever.
This little girl was me.
