Story of Our Summer.
Chapter 1, Part 1

 

As Alex held me in his strong arms, I could feel his hear beating and his warm breath on my neck.
"Guess what, Audrey," he said.
"What?" I whispered back.
"I love you. Forever and always," he softly whispered back, right in my ear.
I bit my lip to keep me from smiling wider than I already was. But it couldn't happen. He's too perfect. Soft, brown hair, that falls perfectly into place without him even trying. Beautiful green eyes, that sparkle when he laughs. When he looks at you, it takes your breath away. The best part. His smile. His smile is the best thing I've ever seen in my entire life. I met him just days ago. How could someone like me, be with this perfect boy? How did I meet my match. How we met, was a bit confusing.

It was a Saturday morning, and I was off to the mall, with my friends. I was running behind and I was rushing through the parking lot when all of a sudden, walking through the mall's front doors, I saw an interesting poster. Not looking where I was going, I stupidly ran into Alex. He apologized. But he didn't have to. I saw his face, and I couldn't speak. I was at a total loss of words. Luckily, he spilled his coffee on me, so we had time to chat. I could see he was a bit embarassed, but he offered to buy me a smoothie to make up for the mess. We ended up having lunch together. That's when i fell for him.

I seemed to be a bit off that day, and Alex was aware.
"What's wrong?" he asked, worried.
"Oh, nothing!" I said quickly, "I'm fine! Perky, actually!"
"Good." he whispered in my ear.
He didn't say another word. He just looked down at me, and softly kissed my lips.
Best, summer, ever. And this is only the beginning.
