If he had a date, he was just useing ou. BUT if he was going single, there could be a possibility that he just wanted an exscusse to be with you/get the nerves to ask you to the dance! if you talk to him about it, im sure he will clarify. if needed, leave me a comment.

no actually hes never asked me for a ride before, like we're ok friends, but hes not the kind of friend i would ask for rides or anything.

watch him first. there are always the signs that he likes you :) and if he doesn't, you can always get him to like you. do you guys talk a lot? what made you like him? it seems like he likes you but you could take it both ways: he COULD just be curious if you were going to the dance. has he asked for rides before? are you both close enough to ask each other for rides?

it is just possible he needed a ride but i think he wanted to ask you to the dance... but confront him about it be like what do u mean u needed a ride if he says i just needed a ride home or something just be suddle and be like oh thats a relif so either way u dont saound stupid or embarassed
