Falling
Part 16
"Okay, clearly we need to talk," Greg
said.
"Mkay, silly!" I answered. "My bedroom?"
"Uhh, sure. Where's your mom?"
"Who knows. Probably being fuc-"
"What?" Greg asked.
"Nevermind."
We got to my room and sat on the bed. I shut and locked the door.
I squinted my eyes and asked, "So what do you want to
do?"
I began to unbutton my shirt.
"No!" Greg said. "No, no, no, no, no!"
"Okay, jeez."
"I just want
to talk to you," he said, "Come here." He opened
his arms and gestured for me to come.
I walked over to
him and let him wrap me up in his warmth. We leaned back and
began to talk.
"Soo..." I said.
"Why aren't you answering my texts?"
"I didn't even know you texted me. Even if I did know, I
wouldn't have replied," I answered.
"Why?"
"I love you. So much. You're funny, kind, smart, easy to
talk to, cute, and fun to be around. You're perfect. And
I'm...I'm..."
"What? You're what?"
"Me. I don't deserve you. I'm not good enough," I
answered.
"Don't say that! You're incredible, outstanding, amazing,
irreplaceable, adorable. You're mine," he
said.
"Then how
come you didn't say I love you back?"
"I was scared. My heart was racing. I was sweating. I
couldn't breathe. How was I supposed to answer?"
"I don't know. I just wanted to hear those words. So bad!
Especially from you," I answered.
"Okay," he said. "I love you. And I mean that
Nicole. I really do."
"I love you, too."
Then we kissed. It was a real kiss. The kind that comes from the
heart.
And just for the record, the only reason why I know what
happened this night, is because Greg had to tell me the
whole story.
