when i was younger me
and my mama had beef.
17 years old kicked out on
the street. Back at the time
I could never see her face.
Ain't a woman alive that
could take mama's place.
Suspended from school scared to go
home, i was fooled with
big boys breaking all the rules.
I shed tears with my baby
sister over the years. We
were poorer than other little
kids. you made ways of
no way because of you I
had brighter days and there's
no way I could pay
you back but my plan
is to show that I
understand.
