the potter games
TI step foot into my house. My mother was sitting at the table. I set the basket of katniss, blueberries, strawberries, rasberries, and lettuce Ihad all handpicked. Then I set the two gallons of apple cider I traded at the Hob on the table, too. "This weeks dinner," I said, eatting a rasberry. "-fruits and vegetables." My mother jumped up with glee. "This will certainly do." She said. She took the basket over to the sink, put them in 5 seperate holed-bowls, and let the water run into them one by one. I set the gallons of cider in the fridge. "One cup a day and it should last us a year." I said. "Maybe 9 months, but atleast you have positive thinking." My mother reassured me. I went over to the window and watched as George chased his 3-year-old brother, Ronald, around. I let out a weak smile. It always brought a smile to my face when I saw little kids cheerful and happy. Which didn't happen alot. I sighed. "I'll try to raise money so we can afford some bread, mom." I said. My mother looked at me. "Sounds like a good plan." She said. "I'm sure Skittle will be happy." Skittle was my 10-year-old sister. She was always cheerful and full of laughs and giggles. Affectionate and loveable, she had alot of friends. I walked outside and looked towards the mountain. I wonder what's beyond it.. maybe another District? A District we never knew about? But that could be impossible.. the Capitol would have still be talking about it. Just then, Ronald ran into me. "Hey, Tiffany!" He said. I picked him up. "Hey, Ronald." I said, smiling. George came over quickly. "So, was your mom happy?" He asked. "Yeah." I said. "Very." I set Ronald down, and he grabbed my hand. "Come on, walk with us." George said. "I was wanting to show Ronald the forest before the Reaping, anyways." I nodded, then looked at Ronald. "Us going into the forest is incognito, secret, understand?" I asked him. Ronald nodded innocently. I picked up Ronald, and followed George to the forest. "Any news on where Skittle's cat went?" George asked me. "Yeah," I replied. "She was living under Mayor Undersee's porch." George laughed. "When we found her, she was shoveling rotten strawberries in her mouth." I added, laughing as well. Ronald laughed, too. I let out a deep breathe, and looked at the meadow we were reaching, then to the mountain. "I wonder what's beyond that mountain.." I said, thinking out loud. "One never knows," George said. "But only a fool would climb it. Captiol would find out for sure." There he goes again. Getting on topic about how terrible the Capitol is. "George," I began. "I know you have a problem with the Captiol. We all do. But.. could you lay off for a while? It gets quite boring talking on and on about it." Ronald started playing with my hair. "Sorry." George said, and heaved a heavy sigh. "I just like to rant about it. Just like my mother and father."
