There's comfort in books.
There's the security and relief in knowing the terrible things
happening to the main character i s n ' t happening to you.
There's a [ wistful hope ] in wanting to be in that far off land
y o u r e a d a b o u t. T h e r e ' s t h e
total escape from reality,
as you immerse yourself in the words. If you get really into
a book, you're practically part of the story. You feel for the
characters, you get angry at the antagonists, you f a l l for
the perfect guy. Okay, you don't like to read. That's fine. But
you're missing out on an escape from the world, a place where
no one can touch you.
