Chapter 27
I bit my lip, glancing at Amber. Her face looked soft.
"Umm," I began, getting nervous. Is it normal to be nervous? Okay, how am I suppose to tell her?
Or should I even? So many question wandering my mind. I froze on the seat, as I shut my eyes.
"It's about Matthew and Christine," I finally said.
I opened my eyes, not surprised at her reaction. I watched as her eyes narrowed, slowly.
Her eyes slowly sadden, looking away.
"So what did you find out?" she asked, not looking at me.
I wanted to tell her, but something inside of me is ... stoping me. Why is that?
"Amber ..."
"Nate, just tell me," she snapped, her hands turning into a fist.
"They-y kissed," I finally said, giving in.
I looked at her. She shook her head at me. I gave her an apologetic smile.
She chuckled, glaring at me. "That's not true," she stated.
"Yeah it is," I said in the lowest voice I have ever spoken.
Tears start streaming down her cheek. I watched as she slowly wiped them off, with her hands.
"I'm sorry," I said.
Her eyes were closed, by the time I looked at her again. "I knew it. It's all my fault."
"Amber it's not your fault. Don't blame yourself," I said, trying to calm her down.
It's not like she wanted it to happen. I mean- everyone makes mistakes.
And it's not Amber's fault at all, it's Matthew's.
If he didn't act like an idiot, this wouldn't happen.
